Robert and Son Paving has been paving the Eastern Shore for three generations. Three generations of the same family have worked these lanes, these lots and this soil, and that is not a slogan. It means we already know which roads flood, which ground goes soft in March and which jobs need more base than the customer was told by somebody else.

Most of the job is finished before any asphalt shows up
The part of paving nobody photographs is the part that decides how long it lasts. Digging out the soft material. Grading so water leaves the property instead of standing on it. Building and compacting the stone base in layers so it carries loaded trucks and not just cars. Get that right and a surface stays flat for years. Get it wrong and nothing laid on top can save it, which is why a job rushed underneath usually comes back as a job done twice. That groundwork is the first half of every asphalt surface we build.
Homes and businesses, built to the same standard
We pave family driveways and farm lanes, and we pave lots for churches, stores, apartment communities and mobile home parks. The build changes, because a lot that takes delivery trucks needs a deeper base and a heavier surface than a driveway does, but the standard does not. The same crew quotes both, and commercial work gets phased section by section so the property stays open while we pave. Our parking lot work is planned around your trading hours, not ours.
Built for Eastern Shore weather and Eastern Shore ground
This is coastal plain: sandy ground, a high water table, salt in the air near the water, and a winter that freezes and thaws over and over. Water gets into a crack, freezes, opens it wider, and the next thaw takes it deeper. That is how most surfaces around here fail, not from traffic. We build with drainage first and we treat small cracks before they reach the base. A regular seal coat is what keeps that cycle from ever getting started.

We hold Maryland Home Improvement Commission licence #74385 and we have been accredited with the Better Business Bureau since 2018, carrying an A+ rating. Every estimate is free, and there is a two year warranty on all work. One local crew covering the whole Shore
Everything runs out of our yard at 6856 Reliance Rd in Federalsburg, where MD 307, MD 306, MD 313 and MD 318 come together in the southern corner of Caroline County. That puts Denton, Preston, Hurlock and Cambridge close by, and US 50 and US 13 carry us to Easton, Trappe, Salisbury and up to Kent Island.
